Environmental benefit
In 2023, global GHG emissions reached 53 billion metric tons of Carbon dioxide. (GtCO2e), which includes emissions from various sources such as burning fossil fuels, industrial processes and agriculture. Developing and using renewable fuels can significantly reduce these emissions and help mitigate climate change.

Versatility
E-fuels can be used in existing internal combustion engines and heating systems, allowing for the continued use of current infrastructure. This makes them suitable for various modes of transport, including cars, trucks, airplanes, and ships

By producing e-fuels domestically using local renewable resources, countries can reduce their dependence on imported fossil fuels, enhancing energy security
